Pizza Hut Indonesia has announced the launch of its Pedas Nusantara menu, specifically curated for the holy month of Ramadan.
The limited-time offerings will be available from 4 March to 28 April 2024 across all locations in Indonesia. The series introduces a spicy twist to the menu, incorporating traditional sambal [chilli paste] to cater to the local palate.
The Pedas Nusantara series celebrates Indonesia's love for spicy food by infusing sambal into several of Pizza Hut's signature dishes.
The QU4RTZA and L1MO Pizzas will feature karaage [lightly coated in cornflour and fried] chicken, cheese and four sambal varieties: sambal kemangi, sambal cabe ijo, sambal matah and sambal bawang.
This fusion of flavours pays tribute to the diverse culinary landscape of Indonesia.
The Wingstreet Pedas offers Wingstreet chicken accompanied by the same four sambal options.
For those looking for a communal Ramadan dining experience, the Kenduri Pedas provides a platter of karaage chicken and rice, sectioned into four parts, each topped with a different sambal, perfect for sharing among two to four people.
For individual diners, the Paket Pedas Puas presents a satisfying meal of karaage chicken with rice, lalapan (traditional raw vegetable salad) and a drink, along with a preferred sambal.
The QU4RTZA Pedas Nusantara offers Salmon Sambal Rice and Sambal Fish and Chips, blending premium ingredients with robust sambal flavours.
Complementing the spicy dishes, two new beverages have been introduced: Es Kembang Gula and Es Mangga Kocok. These limited-time drinks are designed to offer a sweet counterbalance to the menu's heat.
Pizza Hut Indonesia operations director Boy Lukito said: “We're excited to introduce the Pedas Nusantara series — a tantalising fusion of spices on our cheese and chicken karaage pizzas, pioneering a new culinary experience.
“This Ramadan, as customers indulge in our flavourful offerings, we hope they will also embrace forgiveness and nurture stronger family bonds. Let us unite in celebrating tradition, igniting cherished moments and delighting taste buds across Indonesia.”
The launch follows Pizza Hut Indonesia's introduction of the Hokkaido Cheese Edition in November 2023.
The new menu included the Chicken Nanban Pizza, combining chicken karage with Nanban and tartar sauce on a crust filled with Hokkaido cheese and topped with parmesan.
