Popmenu has announced the expansion of its partnership with Square, a provider of payments, software and hardware solutions for restaurants.
The collaboration aims to streamline operations and increase profitability for restaurants through enhanced features such as menu syncing, direct order flow and the introduction of AI-driven marketing and phone answering services.
Instant menu updates ensure that any changes made in Square's point-of-sale (POS) system are automatically reflected in Popmenu's interactive menus, OpenTable, and soon with delivery partners, ensuring that guests always access the most current information.
Online orders placed through Popmenu are directly fed into Square's POS, minimising the risk of human error and providing a seamless experience for both guests and staff.
Popmenu's AI-driven solutions are designed to help Square customers address labour shortages while boosting revenue and productivity. The AI marketing offering automatically generates a full month's worth of emails, texts and social media posts tailored to the restaurant's offerings, events, and reviews.
The AI answering service operates around the clock, offering custom greetings and responses, promoting events and specials, prioritising return calls and providing links for orders and reservations.
Popmenu CEO and co-founder Brendan Sweeney said: “With Popmenu and Square, restaurants get the benefit of two powerful technologies that ensure smooth, accurate ordering operations while generating a higher volume of new and repeat business.
“This is especially critical in a market challenged by an ongoing labour shortage and heightened competition for guests. We see the positive impact we're making on restaurants' financial outcomes and look forward to delivering even more value through our integration and Square's app marketplace.”
All dine-in and online order reports are conveniently centralised within Square's POS system, simplifying reporting and providing easy access to vital business data.
As the integration evolves, it will also sync in-store and online guest data, enabling more comprehensive guest profiles and highly targeted marketing efforts with minimal effort from restaurant operators.
In May 2024, Popmenu launched advanced AI features to address labour shortages and improve revenue opportunities for restaurant operators.
