American sandwich restaurant chain Quiznos has announced the opening of a new restaurant in Tucson, Arizona.

Quiznos has made a comeback in Tucson with the opening of the outlet near the University of Arizona - part of a plan to open 30 new locations across the state up to 2030.

The new Tucson restaurant is making a soft opening on 26 September, with a grand opening celebration to follow later in the autumn.

The Tucson outlet is located at 2601 East Speedway. Besides being the first new full-menu Quiznos in Arizona since 2010, it is the brand's second drive-through in the country.

It showcases an updated interior design reflecting the local community and a modern layout designed for efficient kitchen operations and customer service. The inclusion of new restaurant equipment allows for an expanded menu, including crispy chicken tenders and French fries.

Parish Patel, who has had a 21-year career in the quick-service restaurant industry and experience operating multiple concepts including Quiznos, is at the forefront of the brand's resurgence in Arizona.

Patel's involvement is expected to establish Arizona as the state with the highest number of Quiznos locations in the US.

Quiznos’ parent company REGO Restaurant Group's operations and brand leader and vice-president Gregory Boudreaux stated: “Parish Patel’s return highlights the strong growth potential that the iconic Quiznos brand has moving forward.

“Parish brings a wealth of restaurant experience and fresh ideas to the table, and we’re excited to be working with him again.”

Quiznos has realigned its corporate operations to better support franchisees, emphasising its unique heritage and community engagement.

In June 2024, the brand expanded its Canadian presence with a new outlet in Ottawa, Ontario.
