Raosu Hotpot & Sushi (Raosu), a new venue from restaurateur Connie Zhang, has opened its doors to the public in Midtown Manhattan.
Raosu is situated at 310 West 38th Street and features a bar area, sushi counters and a dining room.
Spanning across 10,000ft², the restaurant has seating arrangements for more than 200 guests and a 50ft ceiling to increase the openness of the space.
Raosu’s menu includes several authentic Asian flavours, sushi dishes, sashimi options and customised cocktail drinks prepared by mixologists in New York.
The eatery’s all-you-can-eat hotpot and sushi menu is $69.99 per serving.
The hotpot features several dishes, including snowflake beef short ribs, tiger prawns and pork belly.
New York-based digital agency Caymana Consulting helped Zhang develop Raosu’s branding and marketing for its launch.
Zhang said: “Caymana was integral in developing the brand, from social media campaigns to helping with the interior decor and even aspects of the menu!”
She added that with Raosu, she aims to achieve “an exciting fusion of flavours and cultures, where every guest can partake in a culinary journey that transports them from the bustling streets of New York to the vibrant culinary landscapes of China and Japan".
Zhang has also developed other establishments in New York City such as the Chinese banquet restaurant Royal Queen in Flushing.
