Redberry Restaurants has launched the first Jersey Mike's Subs location in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Canada.

Located at 8600 Woodbine Avenue, the new outlet is the first of the 300 planned restaurants across Canada up to 2034. The deal was signed in January 2024.

Redberry will host a grand opening and fundraiser from 28 August to 1 September 2024 at the new Markham location.

Jersey Mike's Markham is the first of the six restaurants set to open in Ontario during 2024.

The restaurant operator then plans further expansion within the GTA, with additional openings at York Mills, Union Station, Brantford, Guelph and Pickering by the end of the year.

The restaurants will create 100 jobs.

Redberry also owns two recently remodelled Ontario locations of Jersey Mike's, in Kitchener and London.

Jersey Mike's offers meats and freshly sliced cheeses served on bread baked in-house.

The brand's signature "Mike's Way" preparation includes a topping of fresh vegetables, "the juice" – a blend of red wine vinegar and olive oil, and a sprinkle of signature spices.

Customers can also order cheesesteaks, which are grilled fresh to order.

Orders can be placed in-store, via the Jersey Mike's app and through online platforms and national delivery applications.
