US-based quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain Roy Rogers Restaurants has added new offerings to its menu for this holiday season.

Beginning 6 October 2023, the QSR chain will be offering the new Breakfast Burrito and Cookies and Cream Milk Shake at participating locations.

It will be re-introducing Steak and Cheese Sandwich and Mozzarella Sticks.

Roy Rogers Marketing senior director John Giffin said: “We’re always excited to bring back the Steak and Cheese for our Royalists this time of year.

“With the addition of the Breakfast Burrito and Cookies and Cream Milk Shake, we are broadening our unique offerings, catering to all dayparts. We invite guests to switch it up and try something new this season.”

According to the restaurant brand, its new Breakfast Burrito comes with Smithfield bacon, freshly scrambled eggs, breakfast fries, a mixture of American and Monterey Jack cheeses, and spicy salsa, all of which are wrapped in a warm tortilla.

The Cookies and Cream Milk Shake is the brand’s new dessert option, crafted with delicious Blue Bunny Cookies and Cream Ice Cream.

Roy Rogers co-president Jim Plamondon said: “This season’s limited-time menu items have a hint of nostalgia while blending our ongoing commitment to menu innovation.

“As the holiday season approaches, it serves as a reminder of the importance of giving and spending time with family and friends. Our gift card promotion makes for the perfect gift and rewards our customers for their unwavering loyalty to Roy Rogers.”

Quick commerce steadily becoming the norm for most food and grocery delivery companies

The emergence of ecommerce has made it imperative that companies understand consumer behavior, deliver personalized service, and offer competitive pricing models. Per GlobalData estimates, food and drink, clothing and footwear, and accommodation were the top three sectors by global ecommerce transactions in 2022. The rise of quick commerce, particularly within food and drink, allows consumers to have items delivered to their doorstep within the hour, which has driven a surge in online sales for food and drink.
