Roy Rogers Restaurants, headquartered in the US state of Maryland, has confirmed the lease for a new outlet in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, marking a significant return to the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia markets after several decades.
The opening is scheduled for spring 2025 and the outlet will be the only burger drive-through on Haddonfield Road.
The upcoming 3,300 ft² location will be situated among 3 million ft² of premium retail space and will cater to surrounding mixed-use communities, neighbourhoods, businesses and schools.
The redesigned storefront will showcase Roy Rogers' distinctive wood and black iron décor, reflecting a clean and natural aesthetic.
To enhance customer convenience and service efficiency, the restaurant will incorporate modern technology such as electronic menu boards, ordering kiosks, and digital drive-through menu boards.
Roy Rogers Restaurants co-president Jim Plamondon said: "We could not be happier to bring our USDA [US Department of Agriculture] choice top round roast beef, juicy burgers and fresh, hand-breaded fried chicken back to Cherry Hill.
"Roy’s legacy fans will be thrilled to see the iconic Fixin's Bar and use our signature sauces to customise their favourite sandwiches and tenders. New guests will be pleased with our diverse menu and quality beef, burgers and chicken you can’t find anywhere else.”
The brand's menu is designed to appeal to customers throughout the day with its signature beef, burgers, and chicken.
The Fixin's Bar allows diners to personalise their sandwiches with a selection of fresh toppings.
This customisation option will be available for dine-in, drive-through, pick-up or delivery.
Real estate and franchise development director Joe Briglia said: "We've received an overwhelming number of requests from loyal Roy Rogers fans for a location in this area, and we're delighted to make it a reality. We plan to build on this success and expand even further in the market.”
In September 2024, Roy Rogers Restaurants’ franchisee Mohammed Haque purchased the brand’s corporate location in Waldorf, Maryland.
The deal represented Haque’s seventh Roy Rogers restaurant, including three in Alexandria, Virginia and four in the suburbs of Maryland.
