American fast casual franchise Rush Bowls has partnered with tech company Como for its customer engagement, marketing and customer relationship management solutions.

Como claims that its technology will enhance Rush Bowls’ overall guest experience and augment its customer engagement strategy.

Rush Bowls founder and CEO Andrew Pudalov stated: “Rush Bowls is constantly striving to bring our customers the best experience possible, from introducing new menu items to refreshing perks for our loyal fans.

“This partnership with Como is an exciting upgrade that will enhance our guest experience strategy from coast to coast.”

The brand, which is known for offering fresh and healthy meals in a bowl, will implement Como’s platform across all its 47 locations in the US.

Como's granular reporting capabilities will help Rush Bowls benchmark location and item performance.

It will also help the fast-casual franchise to keep track of promotional campaign success rates and ensure high rates of guest return, the tech vendor stated.

Como's customer data platform will conduct in-depth reporting on every transaction.

Como Sales North America vice-president Yossi Milhem stated: “Como is excited to partner with Rush Bowls as they roll out their expanded loyalty programme, data-driven automated marketing campaigns and customer-facing technology in locations nationwide.

“We love working with growing brands like Rush Bowls as they expand both their customer base and number of locations.

“We truly see ourselves as a partner to businesses like Rush Bowls - helping them achieve their loyalty, communication and marketing goals - and look forward to growing together.”

Established in 2016, Rush Bowls currently operates 47 restaurants across 22 states and has more than 100 further locations in development.

Current metaverse applications in the T&T sector either focus on digital marketing campaigns with real-world rewards for consumers, creating immersive experiences on-site for digitally savvy consumers through AR and VR metaverses, or improving operational efficiency through digital twin technology. As the metaverse evolves, it could offer virtual travel opportunities that complement traditional tourism. However, uptake of the metaverse by smaller travel and tourism operators will remain limited until use cases are affordable and provide a guaranteed return on investment.
