Popular burger chain Shake Shack has launched a new restaurant in San Diego, California, reported Fox5.
The venue opened on 23 June at 3030 Plaza Bonita Rd Suite F3, Westfield Plaza Bonita shopping centre in National City, South Bay.
The new restaurant offers Angus beef burgers, crispy crinkle fries and frozen custard shakes and will remain open seven days a week at different times.
As part of the opening, the first 100 guests received a branded tote bag while other customers arriving on that day received various other giveaways.
According to Westfield Plaza Bonita, $1 from each sandwich sold on the new restaurant’s opening day will be donated to the South Bay Community Services (SBCS).
The new South Bay location opened five months after a Shake Shack representative revealed the brand’s plan to expand its presence in San Diego.
The brand currently has 250 locations in the US and another five the San Diego, including Mission Valley, Little Italy, Del Mar, Mira Mesa and Carlsbad.
In a separate development, The Street reported that Shake Shack has brought back the Bourbon Bacon Jam Burger to its menu to compete with its rivals Wendy's and Burger King.
The item, which was first launched in May 2022, features Angus beef, melted cheddar cheese and crispy onions.
