Restaurant point of sale (POS) system provider Snack POS has partnered with PAX to offer Europay, Mastercard and Visa (EMV)-enabled terminals to restaurants.

PAX develops secure electronic payment terminal solutions for businesses of all sizes.

The new technology is said to enhance payment security and convenience for businesses and customers.

Snack POS COO Rohan Patange said: “We are excited about our collaboration with PAX to introduce EMV-enabled terminals to our restaurant POS system.

“This partnership reflects our ongoing dedication to providing innovative solutions that empower restaurants to thrive in a rapidly changing landscape while prioritizing the security and satisfaction of both business owners and their customers.”

Under the partnership, PAX's EMV-enabled terminals are integrated with Snack POS, enabling restaurants to accept chip-enabled credit and debit cards.

The companies said that the integration will significantly reduce the risk of fraudulent transactions and chargebacks.

Snack POS noted that it will also offer dedicated support and resources to assist restaurants in implementing the new EMV-enabled terminals.

It added that providing secure payment options will also help restaurants build stronger relationships with patrons and improve their overall dining experience.

In June this year, Snack POS integrated its restaurant POS solutions with third-party delivery platforms such as Uber Eats, GrubHub, DoorDash and Postmates.
