Independents by Sodexo has renewed its catering contract with Twyford School in the UK for another three years.

The contract, valued at £1.6m, underscores the partnership between the foodservice provider and one of the UK's oldest preparatory schools.

Twyford Schools bursar Kathryn Pillar said: “We are thrilled to renew our longstanding relationship with Sodexo.

“The Sodexo team is an integral part of the Twyford family, and we eagerly anticipate continuing our collaboration.

“Together with Sodexo’s talented team, we are proud to provide meal options that are not only delicious but also nutritious, balanced and diverse.”

Sodexo's commitment to Twyford School spans more than three decades, during which the company has provided meals and promoted healthy eating habits among the students.

The school is set in South Downs National Park, has 435 pupils and offers flexi-boarding for 100.

Under the leadership of catering manager Dean Wilkins, Sodexo’s culinary team of 14 delivers breakfast, lunch, supper and evening snacks.

The team's efforts extend to twice-weekly match teas during term time, serving up to 150 parents and 200 children.

Sodexo's team also caters for school events, including cookery days, reunions, formal parties and fine dining evenings for staff and governors.

In February 2024, Independents by Sodexo extended its contract with Wellington College in Berkshire for a further ten years.
