SOHO Coffee Co, a UK-based coffee and food-to-go chain, has expanded its footprint in Europe by opening its first store in Switzerland at Geneva Airport, World Coffee Portal has reported.
The new store has been opened via franchisee the Canonica Group.
The opening of the new airport store is part of the chain's strategic plan to expand its presence across European airports.
SOHO Coffee currently operates 11 sites at eight European airports in the UK, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland.
The brand also operates restaurants at other airports such as Birmingham and Bristol in the UK, Las Palmas, Madrid and Malaga in Spain, and Lisbon and Faro in Portugal.
Globally, SOHO Coffee has a network of 41 stores, of which 32 are located in the UK.
The company's international reach extends to Qatar, where it operates a site at the Place Velodrome and another at the Landmark Mall.
The international stores and four of the UK outlets are operated under franchise agreements.
BTC Hospitality CEO Sam Shutt stated: “We are excited to partner with the Canonica group for the first SOHO Coffee in the Swiss market. They are a great franchise partner, and professional, and share the vision and values of our brand.
“We have had lots of exciting conversations with the group to create a further presence in more international markets and travel hubs. We are looking forward to growing the future of the SOHO brand with Canonica, and building on the early success at Geneva Airport.”
BTC Hospitality is the parent company of SOHO Coffee Co.
