American fast food chain SONIC Drive-In has added Bacon Peppercorn Ranch Grilled Cheese Burger to its offering line-up.

The new addition has been launched across all SONIC locations in the US for a limited time period.

The new Bacon Peppercorn Ranch Grilled Cheese Burger features a 100% all-beef seasoned patty and American cheese and buttery Texas toast with hickory smoked bacon and creamy peppercorn ranch.

The restaurant brand suggested that the customers can also purchase Bacon Peppercorn Ranch Grilled Cheese Burger with a small order of tots or fries.

SONIC Culinary & Menu Innovation vice-president Mackenzie Gibson said: “Our fans have made it clear how much they love our Grilled Cheese Burgers, but we wanted to make this comfort-food favourite even more craveable.

“By adding the flavours of hickory smoked bacon and peppercorn ranch, we created an innovative new burger that can’t be replicated for our price point. It’s a melty, cheesy, delicious burger with a side of tots or fries for under four dollars – you can’t beat it!”

SONIC, which is part of Inspire Brands family of restaurants, operates more than 3,500 restaurants in 48 US states.

Earlier this month, SONIC launched Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites in the US.

Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites combines chicken and buffalo sauce with cheddar cheese inside and a wonton-style fried exterior.

Available in packs of five and seven, the new addition will be rolled out across participating drive-ins across the US for a limited time.
