US-based fast food chain SONIC Drive-In is set to launch two new Aloha Slushes with island-inspired flavours.
The new flavours are Polynesian Punch and Tropical Colada and will be rolled out across all Sonic locations from 26 June at $2.19 for a medium size.
The Polynesian Punch Slush is a Hawaiian-inspired fruit punch with a sweet finish.
The Tropical Colada Slush is a blend of coconut, pineapple and banana flavours swirled into an icy Slush.
The company noted that guests can try both flavours for half-price when they place their orders through the Sonic App.
SONIC Culinary and Menu Innovation vice-president Mackenzie Gibson said: “We opened the first SONIC in Hawai’i in February and now we are offering guests across the country the feeling of being on a Hawaiian vacation with the tastes of tropical paradise.
“Our vibrant Aloha Slushes are a burst of island flavours that will transport you to sandy beaches, swaying palm trees and sparkling ocean waves, even if it’s just for a moment.”
Last month, SONIC added the Strawberry Shortcake Snowball Slush Float to its seasonal menus across the US.
The slush was made available at SONIC outlets on 29 May 2023 and includes real strawberries, sweet shortcake flavour and SONIC’s signature icy Slush, topped with vanilla ice cream and sugary crystals to give the impression of a real snowball.
