Retail brokerage company Western Retail Advisors (WRA) has finalised the leasing process for a new Starbucks outlet in Avondale, Arizona.
This new location is claimed to be Starbucks' first double drive-through in the Valley, equipped with two order points.
The lease moved Starbucks from a small neighbouring store to a bigger location with a space of 3,070ft².
It is situated at 0655 W. Indian School Road, just east of 107th Avenue and west of the Loop 101 freeway. The building stood vacant for more than four years after being used by KFC.
It is now being renovated and repositioned for its new Starbucks-related purpose through the new lease agreement.
Western Retail Advisors senior vice-president Bryan Babits said: "This new location gave Starbucks the store size it required but could only stack three or four vehicles in its single drive-through lane – far below what was needed to manage the anticipated traffic at this site.
"Creating a double drive-through is a great example of Starbucks' creativity, overcoming an operational challenge and already contributing to a 26% jump in sales at this new address."
Utilising various potential models, Starbucks expects to have around 45,000 global stores by the end of 2025.
One potential model might focus on drive-through service, highlighting the significance of drive-through activity to the overall success of the chain.
