American multinational coffeehouse chain Starbucks has unveiled its new seasonal beverage, the Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte, as a limited-edition offering to celebrate the autumn season 2024.

The drink is available to customers across US stores from 19 September.

Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte is made using Starbucks Blonde Espresso combined with oatmilk, brown butter, pecans and festive baking spices.

It is topped off with a pecan crunch for an added texture.

According to Starbucks lead beverage developer Patrick Penny, the creation of this new drink was inspired by feedback from more than 40 baristas and store managers during a nationwide brainstorming session for a festive holiday beverage.

The coffeehouse chain has also introduced the option for customers to customise their favourite drinks with the new Salted Pecan Cream Cold Foam, which can be made with dairy or non-dairy options. The foam is infused with pecan syrup.

Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte joins the seasonal line-up of seasonal favourites such as Pumpkin Spice Latte and Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato.

Penny said: “The flavours in this latte evoke memories of the smell of freshly baked pecan pie, but also the warmth and connection of moments at home with family and friends.”

In anticipation of the beverage's launch, Starbucks partnered with Delta Air Lines to offer travellers an exclusive preview.

From 18 September, Delta passengers at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and LaGuardia Airport were treated to an early taste of the Iced Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte.

This pop-up event is part of the ongoing loyalty partnership between Starbucks Rewards and Delta SkyMiles, which provides members with opportunities to earn rewards and access unique experiences.
