UK-based pub company Stonegate Group has announced the reopening of The Hare and Hounds pub in St Albans after an extensive refurbishment project.

The pub, which was closed in August this year, has been refurbished with a six-figure investment.

The venue now features a brand-new ceiling, refurbished floors, fresh paint and modernised furnishings.

Additionally, the pub will now offer private bookings for special occasions.

While preserving its original character, the pub now features an upgraded bar with new additions such as Guinness, Amstel and Moretti.

Guest will also be offered a brand-new food menu over the next few weeks.

The new menu includes a wide array of options, ranging from burgers and pasta to steak and seafood.

The Hare and Hounds publican Paul said: “I am so thrilled to have the pub back open. It’s a local favourite and we can’t wait to reestablish our presence within the community.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to our incredible new-look pub to come and try our new offerings. We are also very grateful for the support Stonegate Group has given to us and I’m excited to see what the future brings for the pub.”

In August this year, Stonegate Group announced that it will reopen the refurbished The Old City Arms pub in Hammersmith on 18 August 2023.

Located next to Hammersmith Bridge, the pub was overhauled with Stonegate’s six-figure investment.

Robots are well established in consumer goods and packaging industries, though adoption in foodservice is at a nascent stage

Current metaverse applications in the T&T sector either focus on digital marketing campaigns with real-world rewards for consumers, creating immersive experiences on-site for digitally savvy consumers through AR and VR metaverses, or improving operational efficiency through digital twin technology. As the metaverse evolves, it could offer virtual travel opportunities that complement traditional tourism. However, uptake of the metaverse by smaller travel and tourism operators will remain limited until use cases are affordable and provide a guaranteed return on investment.
