UK-based pub company the Stonegate Group has announced that The Fountain pub in Soham will reopen on 13 December 2023 after undergoing a complete overhaul made possible by a six-figure investment from the Craft Union Pub Company.
The Fountain's interior and exterior have been completely revamped. The interior now features brand-new décor, a multi-purpose function room and a high-spec dart board.
Sylvia and Phil, the Fountain's new operators, who bring the experience of previously operating community pubs, will manage the venue.
Sylvia and Phil said: “We can’t wait to welcome the local community back to the re-vamped pub! We are really proud to be at the helm of this venue and are really excited for what the future holds.
“With such a fantastic space to bring pub-goers together, it’s a privilege to be part of The Fountain – we’ll see you soon for a drink (or two!).”
Stonegate has also announced the re-opening of the Dolphin pub in Blandford, following a £135,000 investment from the Craft Union Pub Company.
The revamped pub features some new additions but has retained the original character and charm of a traditional pub in the heart of its community.
It features a new range of drinks, plenty of new entertainment and refurbished outdoor spaces.
It will be serving draught beers, Fosters, Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, Doom Bar and Carling and a wide range of wines and spirits.
Tamara Willmott will be re-opening the doors and welcoming everyone back into the pub. She has been associated with the Dolphin for more than a year and has worked within Craft Union for three years.
Tamara said: “I am so excited that the doors to the Dolphin have been re-opened! We look forward to welcoming all of our amazing customers back in.
“Community is at the heart of everything we do, and our guests are what make the pub. Our new features are sure to enhance the customer experience, and we can guarantee a great range of drinks and a fun time. The team and I hope to see you all very soon!”
In November 2023 the Stonegate Group also re-opened the refurbished Royal Oak in Whitchurch, England.
