Texas-based restaurant chain Taco Cabana will enhance its menu with the introduction of new limited-time items in February 2024.

The Fish Tacos and Chilaquiles Bowls, and a Margarita made with Big Red [a soda drink by Keurig Dr Pepper], will be available at participating Texas locations.

The new offerings coincide with the Lenten season and US National Margarita Day on 22 February.

The Fish Tacos feature wild-caught, beer-battered Icelandic cod and are topped with a pepper-limón sauce, shredded lettuce and pico de gallo.

They can be purchased individually, as a plate or in a combo from 14 February through to Easter.

Chilaquiles Bowls comprise crispy tortilla strips, scrambled eggs and a choice of ranchero or green sauces, finished with sour cream and cotija cheese.

Taco Cabana's classic salsa verde recipe will complement the bowls.

Taco Cabana introduced its newest Margarita featuring Big Red for those looking to celebrate National Margarita Day.

Taco Cabana worked with the team at Keurig Dr Pepper to mix its margaritas with Big Red in a way that blends and showcases the flavours consumers love.

The Margarita can be purchased as a single serving, a Margarita yard or in gallon size, with availability beginning 22 February.

A special combo is also available which combines two Barbacoa Tacos with the new Margarita.

These offerings will all be sold for a limited period starting on 22 February.

Taco Cabana president and chief operating officer Ulyses Camacho said: “We have a lot of great things happening at Taco Cabana this month.

“Our team has worked hard to create new and innovative items like the Margarita featuring Big Red, the Chilaquiles Bowls and of course the new Fish Tacos. We look forward to having our guests try them!”
