Quick service restaurant (QSR) chain Taco Del Mar has announced that it is reintroducing its lobster offerings across selected locations in the US and Canada.
This will be the fourth annual relaunch of the lobster offerings, which will include the Tropical Lobster Tacos and the Classic Lobster Tacos.
Both items are prepared with a combination of lobster, onions, serrano peppers and cilantro on chilled or warm corn tortillas.
The Tropical Lobster Taco consists of shredded cabbage, house-made mango salsa and cilantro lime vinaigrette toppings with a lime wedge.
The Classic Lobster Taco is prepared with shredded cabbage, Baja white sauce and pico de gallo with a lime wedge.
In addition, Taco Del Mar will also launch a new limited-edition mascot, Luis the Lobster.
Guests visiting a Taco Del Mar on 9 June, wearing something that features lobsters on it, can receive either a Tropical Lobster Taco or a Classic Lobster Taco for free.
Taco Del Mar culinary and innovation vice-president Mike Gieseman said: “We understand that guests' demands and cravings shift when the seasons change and we embrace those changes as opportunities to bring flavour-forward items to our seasonal menu.
“With summer quickly approaching, we’re offering our guests what they are craving by bringing back the light and refreshing Tropical Lobster Taco and Classic Lobster Taco.
“Our lobster tacos feature high-quality ingredients such as the mango salsa, pico de gallo and cilantro lime vinaigrette, all made in-house with fresh produce.”
