Fast food restaurant company Taco John’s has expanded its store network in the US by opening a new location in Cadillac, Michigan.

Located at 1770 N Mitchell Street, the new location will offer a fusion of distinctive flavours and south-of-the-border spices to its guests.

The Taco John’s Cadillac is all about "bigger, bolder, better".

The restaurant offerings include classic items such as Meat and Potato Burritos, Stuffed Grilled Tacos and Potato Olés.

In addition to classic menu items, Taco John’s Cadillac will be offering the brand’s bold and crave-worthy Fried Chicken Taco.

It will also offer signature specials such as Taco Tuesday and the everyday ValuEST Menu to its customers.

Taco John’s parent company, Meritage Hospitality Group, noted that the new Cadillac venue will be the fifth location in Michigan.

Meritage Hospitality Group franchise president Gary Rose stated: “We're so excited to bring our distinctive take on tacos to the Midwest.

“With our breakfast burritos, classic tacos, and exclusive specialties like our crunchy Potato Olés, there is something for everyone in the Cadillac area to enjoy at Taco John's.”

Meritage Hospitality Group had previously reached a development agreement with Taco John's to build 200 restaurants in the Midwest.

In August 2021, the two signed a multi-unit development agreement to build 50 restaurants across the country by 2026.

Meritage estimated an investment of $100m for the venture, which it aimed to fulfil using a combination of cash on hand and credit facilities.

The agreement also includes options for the development of an additional 150 restaurants in the future.

In November 2023, Taco John’s unveiled its plan to expand its presence in the US state of Wisconsin with a new location in Milwaukee.

The new restaurant planned at 4650 S 5th Street will be the brand’s fourth location in the Milwaukee area operated by Pentex Restaurant Group.
