Spanish family-owned restaurant group Telefèric Barcelona will launch its first Arizona, US location in 2025.
The Phoenix office of JLL has finalised a 6,676ft² lease at 7014 E Camelback Rd, Scottsdale, marking the expansion of the brand into Arizona’s Scottsdale Fashion Square, according to a release posted on RestaurantNews.com.
Originating from Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain, in 1992, Telefèric Barcelona has grown from two Spanish locations to an international presence.
Under the leadership of siblings Xavi and Maria Padrosa, the group has established five restaurants in California and one in Seattle, and is developing more sites across iconic US retail centres.
The upcoming Scottsdale Fashion Square venue will offer coastal cuisine with a Californian twist, utilising local ingredients.
Executive chef Oscar Cabezas will bring authentic tapas and paella to the table, featuring dishes such as Patatas Bravas and Croquettes, as well as Pulpo Telefèric and Gambas al Ajillo.
JLL executive vice-president Regan Amato said: “Telefèric Barcelona is a creative, energetic team known for delivering exceptional cuisine in a unique and upbeat environment”.
“Their newest restaurant will sit at the centre of an award-winning shopping and dining destination, easily accessed by a central porte-cochère and served by valet parking. This site at Scottsdale Fashion Square is the perfect location for their Arizona debut.”
Paella enthusiasts can look forward to signature dishes such as Lobster Paella and Paella Negra with squid ink.
The weekend brunch promises special paella varieties and sangria pitchers.
The cocktail menu will include unique gin and tonic blends, alongside a selection of premium Spanish wines and sangrias.
Guests at Telefèric Barcelona will be able to enjoy the porrón experience — a traditional Spanish style of drinking wine directly from a glass pitcher.
This new addition will complement the luxury retail and dining offerings at Scottsdale Fashion Square, a premier shopping destination attracting more than 12 million visitors annually.
