TGI Fridays has partnered with Sam Nazarian's C3 to offer guests fresh Krispy Rice Sushi and new bar offerings.

C3 is Sam Nazarian's premium quick service restaurant (QSR) company. Under this new partnership, C3's Krispy Rice Sushi will initially be available across 140 TGI Fridays locations and 300 locations over the next year.

Created by the team behind the Katsuya brand, the Krispy Rice menu is said to offer Japanese flavours with a California twist.

TGI Fridays said that guests can dine in or opt for a take-out and delivery service.

With these new menu additions, the restaurant chain estimates that it will deliver $68.5m in incremental revenue annually and $163m after the menu is rolled out across all TGI locations.

TGI Fridays CEO Brandon Coleman said: “At TGI Fridays, we want our guests to have new and exciting flavour experiences every time they visit and by bringing Krispy Rice, Happy Dad Hard Seltzer, Howler Head and WESAKE to the menu we are delivering on that promise.

“These exciting collaborations introduce the TGI Fridays brand to entirely new audiences and give new reasons for visitation. This is an incredibly exciting time for TGI Fridays and these collabs are just the beginning of an innovative approach to building our brand.”

The bar offerings include Happy Dad hard seltzer and Howler Head bourbon to engage new millennial and Gen Z customers.

Additionally, TGI Fridays has partnered with WESAKE to bring Japanese Junmai Ginjo sake to the bar menu, which will be available at select locations.

C3 founder and CEO Sam Nazarian said: “Krispy Rice continues to bring great breadth to the Fridays offering and we are thrilled to be able to share our exciting offering with even more loyal Fridays guests across the country – giving them even more reasons to return.

“We are also excited to introduce Happy Dad Hard Seltzer, Howler Head and WESAKE to our offerings; these brands have an incredible customer base and following and we want to offer them a new home at Fridays to help guests enjoy their favourite beverages.”

QSR was the largest channel in the French food service profit sector in 2022 dominated by independent operators
