US-based restaurant company The Habit Burger Grill is set to open its new restaurant in Fontana, California.

Located at 9750 Sierra Avenue, the new drive-through restaurant venue is scheduled to open on 11 October 2023.

Covering an area of 1,892ft², the new Fontana restaurant will offer dine-in and takeout services.

The Habit Burger Grill chief financial officer Tiffany Furman said: “Every The Habit Burger Grill restaurant we open is a celebration, but when we launch a restaurant in our birthplace – SoCal – we’re especially thrilled.

“We can’t wait to feed and be a part of the family-friendly, vibrant city of Fontana.”

The company said that guests can access convenient ordering options such as indoor self-serve kiosks and delivery via third-party platforms such as Grubhub, DoorDash, Postmates and Uber Eats.

It will also offer delivery services through The Habit Mobile App and online at order.habitburger.com.

The Habit Burger Grill, which is known for its Charburgers, signature sandwiches and fresh salads, will also host an exclusive pre-opening VIP event for their CharClub and mobile app members.

The restaurant chain will hold a pre-opening VIP event on 10 October 2023, and the first 100 CharClub members will be offered a free Charburger, fries, and drink.

The Habit Burger Grill franchisee Aharon Aminpour said: “I have always been a big fan of all things The Habit Burger Grill and am incredibly honoured to open up another restaurant in SoCal, the birthplace of The Habit Burger Grill.

“I am excited to bring Habit’s menu featuring the famous Charburgers, amazing shakes, sushi grade ahi tuna, award-winning sides, and more to the entire Fontana area.”

Robots are well established in consumer goods and packaging industries, though adoption in foodservice is at a nascent stage

Current metaverse applications in the T&T sector either focus on digital marketing campaigns with real-world rewards for consumers, creating immersive experiences on-site for digitally savvy consumers through AR and VR metaverses, or improving operational efficiency through digital twin technology. As the metaverse evolves, it could offer virtual travel opportunities that complement traditional tourism. However, uptake of the metaverse by smaller travel and tourism operators will remain limited until use cases are affordable and provide a guaranteed return on investment.
