Italian restaurant chain Toscano has opened a new outlet at Seawoods Nexus Mall in Navi Mumbai, continuing its expansion in India.

Co-founded by chef Jean Michel Jasserand and chef Goutham Balasubramanian, Toscano already has branches in Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad and Delhi, as reported by IndianRetailer.com.

The menu at Toscano features traditional recipes that utilise Italian ingredients and cooking techniques.

Diners can enjoy artisanal sourdough pizzas, seasonal specialties and a selection of imported cheeses.

Toscano CEO and chef Goutham was quoted by the website as saying: “Our brand growth has always been about staying true to who we are. While we are proud of our consistency and quality, what truly defines us is the genuine care we put into every meal and every interaction.

“We are excited to connect with an amazing community in Navi Mumbai and create an experience that is authentic, approachable and memorable.”

Dishes include Insalata di Quattro Fagioli Con Cereali, Classic Margherita Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, Salmone Grigliato and Spaghetti Aglio Olio.

Desserts such as Tiramisu and Kahlua mousse are popular among diners. An extensive beverage menu with a variety of mocktails complements the food.

Toscano aims to become an integral part of the local community by hosting events, forming partnerships and providing unique experiences.

Toscano launched its first outlet at UB City in Bangalore in 2014. In 2019, it launched its first outlet outside Bangalore at Nungambakkam in Chennai.

In 2024, outlets were opened in Sattva Knowledge City, Hyderabad and at the Phoenix Mall of the Millennium, Pune.
