TouchBistro, a cloud-based point-of-sale (POS) system provider, has selected MarginEdge to power its Profit Management system.

The management system provides restaurants with all the tools required to track food costs in real-time, adjust recipes, digitally process invoices and standardise inventory management across multiple locations.

MarginEdge CEO Bo Davis said: “Our company mission is to help restaurant operators streamline their back-office operations and there is no better way to accomplish this than by partnering with a world-class point of sale system.

“We are excited to have been chosen by TouchBistro to complete their restaurant management solution offering.”

In addition, the MarginEdge solution will further enhance the management system’s back-of-house capabilities, help restaurateurs maximise profits and offer an improved guest experience.

TouchBistro chairman and CEO Samir Zabaneh said: “TouchBistro's new back-of-house capabilities will help restaurateurs run more profitable operations. These tools give them the real-time visibility they require to control costs and streamline workflows.

“MarginEdge and TouchBistro share the same passion for helping restaurants succeed. We are excited about our partnership and what we can achieve together.”

In August this year, TouchBistro launched a new suite of back-of-house solutions to assist restaurants in controlling costs and increasing profit margins.

The new solution has been designed to integrate with TouchBistro’s all-in-one POS and restaurant management system.

The integrated solution is claimed to allow restaurateurs to improve their profitability by automating operations and profit management analysis.

Customer engagement drives metaverse investment in the foodservice sector

COVID-19 and supply chain disruptions following the Ukraine war have accelerated automation and digitalization in the foodservice sector. Home delivery services and consumer engagement through digital channels have become essential for businesses trying to stay afloat. Foodservice companies must also cope with ESG issues, the fast-changing world of work, and the global economy heading for recession and possible stagflation. The metaverse, enabled by both AR and VR, is an important tool that can help address many of the foodservice industry's key challenges.
