Value Foodservice (VFS), a company that owns and operates stores in the franchise restaurant industry, has purchased an additional 11 Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurants to enhance its KFC portfolio, as reported by EIN Newswire.

The move increases the company's total to 59 KFC locations, strengthening its foothold in the US foodservice sector.

The newly acquired outlets are predominantly in the greater Nashville area, spanning Kentucky and Tennessee.

The expansion is spearheaded by Value Foodservice CEO Jon Blob, an experienced professional in the quick-service restaurant industry.

The acquisition has been made possible with financial support from BlackBern Partners, indicating backing for the company's growth initiatives.

Blob said: “We are excited to continue to grow our KFC restaurant footprint with this transaction - our third KFC acquisition of the year.

“The area around Nashville is experiencing strong economic tailwinds, and we are excited to grow our presence in this region in the future. This investment in growth is a testament to our conviction in the KFC brand and our commitment to delivering best-in-class experiences for our team members and customers.

The integration of these new locations into Value Foodservice's existing operations is expected to offer a platform for further expansion.

Blob added: “We will also be able to deepen the investment in our team, facilities and infrastructure to continue offering exciting opportunities for professional growth at VFS. Most importantly, we look forward to continuing the multi-generational legacy from the prior owners and welcoming our new team members and customers into the VFS family.”

With BlackBern Partners' financial investment, Value Foodservice is well-positioned to pursue additional growth opportunities and maintain a competitive edge in the quick-service restaurant segment.

BlackBern partner Jason Young said: “The VFS team has done a great job building the business, while smartly navigating the dynamic QSR environment the last several years. We are excited to enter a new geography and continue to support the growth of VFS as we scale the business.”

In early December 2024, KFC launched its Buckets of Joy holiday bucket for the festive season.

It features a design by the popular illustrator duo Yeye Weller and comes with matching streetwear-inspired holiday merchandise.
