Kind of One Concepts, the company that owns the Village Square Pizzeria restaurant in Woodmere, Ohio, US, has recently completed its modernisation.
The establishment, which has existed for more than five decades, will now offer an improved menu and an enhanced dining experience.
The revamped menu will include not only pizzas but also a homemade selection of pastas, chicken and eggplant parmigiana, subs, wraps and cannolis.
The changes reflect its intention to create dishes using freshly prepared products and a broader range of culinary options.
Chefs Brad Race and Jordan Rolleston will offer consumers a range of pastas, entrées and other specialities.
Village Square Pizzeria has also secured a liquor licence, paving the way for a new beer, wine and cocktail menu.
The menu will offer desserts including artisanal gelato in a variety of traditional flavours.
The restaurant's location has also been revamped.
Chef Race said: “We are proud to present this new phase of Village Square Pizzeria, where tradition meets modern culinary artistry. Our enhanced menu and renovated space are a nod to our roots while embracing the future of Italian dining.”
The restaurant's new operating hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am to 8pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 9pm and Sundays from 12pm to 8pm.
In 2022, Kind of One Concepts acquired the about-to-be-closed restaurant from its previous operator, Joe DeGaetano. He had bought it from the previous owners in 1995, the Cleveland Scene reported.
Kind of One Concepts co-owner Todd Leebow told Cleveland Scene: “I grew up eating Village Square Pizza as a young Clevelander on the east side.
“I knew the phone number by heart. When I saw the announcement of their closing today, I wanted to see how I could prevent that.”
