US-based restaurant automation solutions provider Vistry has launched its new Conversational AI platform and AI Customer Assistant chatbot for the restaurant industry.
The chatbot assistant, LumoChat (Lumo), helps customers complete their online ordering tasks across different channels such as web and mobile.
Lumo is an artificial intelligence (AI) customer service assistant that uses ChatGPT-like technology to personalise customer experiences and is claimed to increase online orders.
It allows customers to ask questions about the menu, order pickup and delivery, as well as has the potential to resolve customer service issues in real-time.
Vistry claims that this is the industry's first generative AI Chatbot for restaurants.
The company explained that its Lumo excels in intelligent menu parsing and location services. It also uses an advanced algorithm to build an optimised cart for the customers.
Lumo is also designed to ensure a streamlined checkout process with features such as auto-filled details and secure payment options.
Vistry's Conversational AI platform is integrated with online ordering platforms and point-of-sale systems and can be accessed through web, mobile and social channels.
The tech firm added that restaurants will have the option to deploy a chatbot to their customer base to assist customers and convert online sales.
Vistry founder and CEO Atif Kureishy said: “Generative AI is reshaping the food service industry's guest and employee experience. Our platform stands at the centre of this transformation, offering omnichannel capabilities and seamless integrations with existing digital platforms.”
