American international fast food restaurant chain Wendy's has joined forces with Cinnabon to introduce a new breakfast menu item, Cinnabon Pull-Aparts.

The sweet pastries are made from Danish dough, glazed and baked with cinnamon, brown butter and sugar, topped with Cinnabon's cream cheese frosting.

The launch is set for 26 February 2024 in the US and 18 March in Canada.

Wendy's breakfast menu already offers sandwiches, French toast sticks and seasoned potatoes.

Wendy's Culinary Innovation global vice president John Li said: “We’re tapping into what our consumers want, based on our research. They crave comfort and nostalgic experiences, and from a food perspective, a sweet and indulgent item is perfect for bringing someone into that comfort zone.

“This product does that because we’ve partnered with the right brand that believes in quality and delivering that same emotional benefit.”

Wendy's culinary innovation manager Erynn Bennett said: “The latest addition to the menu is a great complement to items like the breakfast Baconator and breakfast potatoes.”

Wendy’s recently expanded its morning menu with the introduction of the new Breakfast Burrito.

The burrito contains two fresh cracked eggs and six strips of oven-baked, applewood-smoked bacon.

In November 2023, Wendy’s announced the launch of the new Pretzel Baconator for the 2023 holiday season. The offering contains a half-pound of grilled beef topped with American cheese and six strips of applewood smoked bacon and is finished with ketchup and mayonnaise between two warm pretzel buns.
