US-based hamburger chain Wendy’s has implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite and shifted its business-critical workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
The restaurant company moved its finance and HR processes to the cloud with Oracle Fusion Applications Suite.
Wendy's used the Oracle applications platform and leveraged OCI's Visual Builder and Integration Cloud Service to ensure continuous connectivity.
It moved its HR processes to Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management, allowing it to standardise onboarding processes and boost HR self-service capabilities.
The tech vendor claims will also give the company real-time visibility into goals and performance metrics.
With this move, the restaurant chain aims to increase productivity, expand business insights and improve customer experience.
The implementation will enable Wendy’s to eliminate manual business processes.
Wendy's enterprise technology vice-president Stephanie Shaw said: “Our vision is to create fast, frictionless and fun user experiences for our employees, franchisees and front-line workers to help drive consistent, quick and convenient customer experiences.
“Aligning Finance and HR on Oracle Fusion Applications Suite has allowed us to simplify and automate business processes to help build a culture of innovation and inclusivity and enable employees to spend less time on administrative tasks and more time thinking about and engaging with our customers.”
Wendy’s noted that by incorporating Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), it has combined 11 different financial applications on a single cloud ERP suite.
In collaboration with Oracle, Wendy's also created a new billing management system for automating the franchisee requirements around billing and payments.
Oracle applications development executive vice-president Steve Miranda said: “With Oracle Fusion Applications Suite, Wendy's can automate processes and make faster, better-informed decisions to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
“Moving forward, Wendy's has the technology foundation to embrace new services as it pursues its company vision.”
