American fast-food restaurant chain Wienerschnitzel will be expanding its international presence into Ecuador and Chile on 9 and 10 December 2023.
The restaurant brand has signed a 15-unit development agreement with franchisee Andres Sotomayor.
Galardi Group CMO Doug Koegeboehn said: “2023 has been a fantastic year for Wienerschnitzel, and we couldn't think of a better way to end it than by achieving our goal to open the first of many international locations.
“So much of our continued growth has been driven by operators who really see the value in what we offer — a simple business model with low costs and virtually no competition in our segment. We're thrilled that this continues to resonate with entrepreneurs, especially on a global scale.”
Galardi Group is the parent company of Wienerschnitzel.
In Ecuador, the restaurant will be opened in the city of Guayaquil, while in Chile the location will be Santiago.
The two are the first of more than two dozen restaurants planned across Latin America up to 2027.
Site selection for the remaining locations is currently underway.
Koegeboehn added: “We are extremely eager to share our recipes with an entirely new demographic of consumers. There's nothing like our signature menu items in these markets, and this is a huge reason why we've been so eager to bring the flavours of Southern California to Latin America.”
In May 2023, Wienerschnitzel announced that it would expand its footprint in the state of Arkansas by opening its first location in Bentonville.
It intends to open 20 new restaurants in the state as part of its plan for expansion.
Texas-based firm Tejas Dogs will drive the initiative forward and secure approval for multiple sites.
