US-based World of Beer (WOB) Bar & Kitchen has completed its Chapter 11 restructuring and is now setting its sights on expansion.

After filing for Chapter 11 less than five months ago in 2024, the company now plans to open four to five new franchise locations annually over the next five years.

On 21 December 2024, WOB Bar & Kitchen opened a new restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas.

This follows other recent openings in Hinesville, Georgia, and in the Florida cities of Odessa and Jacksonville.

The company noted that the early 2025 will see the launch of another location in Annapolis, Maryland.

Founded in 2007 by two friends in Tampa, Florida, WOB Bar & Kitchen has grown to operate more than 30 restaurants across the US.

The brand offers a wide range of beers and presentation methods, including rotating taps and its proprietary beer, Secret Llama Blueberry Wheat Ale.

WOB stated that each of its location offers a signature food menu crafted to complement the beer offerings.

WOB Bar & Kitchen president and CEO Paul Avery said: “This is an exciting day. Our emergence from Chapter 11 places WOB on a solid path for long-term success – while maintaining the quality of the WOB Bar & Kitchen experience.

“We remain deeply committed to serving our loyal customers, supporting our employees and franchises, and driving innovation and growth in a competitive market.

"With an exceptionally strong leadership team, I believe this is just the beginning of a prosperous new chapter for our brand.”
