London-based specialist wholesaler Woods Foodservice is set to broaden its product range ahead of Christmas 2024, as reported by The Grocer.

The company has announced partnerships with eight new suppliers, seeking to cater to the palates of its clientele and enhance high-end menus.

The move will meet the growing demand for premium food items during the Christmas period.

The newly added selection includes a variety of items such as charcuterie, smoked salmon and smoked meats.

Customers will have access to regeneratively farmed flour, a product reflecting the current trend towards sustainable agriculture.

Woods' products have been carefully chosen to align with the expectations of customers seeking high-quality ingredients.

Woods MD Darren Labbett said: “By partnering with suppliers who share our values, we can support foodservice operators to deliver exceptional dining experiences while embracing sustainability over the Christmas season and beyond.”

Among the new products on offer are brands such as Italian deli Levoni, Spanish charcuterie expert Beher, Devon-based The Real Cure, Wildfarmed's flour, Rodda's Cornish clotted cream and Severn & Wye's smoked salmon and assorted canapés.

Marco Pierre White’s Farmhouse Cuisine will provide smoked meats and fish to the wholesaler's already extensive product list.

Woods co-managing director Lana Bhikha said: “This year we expect an even greater surge in demand as our client base of high-end restaurants, gastropubs, hotels and event caterers ramp up their operations to accommodate Christmas events.”

The company forecasts a 30% year-on-year growth in sales during December 2024.
