Zamp, the operator of Burger King and Popeyes restaurants in Brazil, has partnered with o9 Solutions to enhance its planning capabilities with artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled solutions.
In the first phase of this partnership, o9’s Digital Brain platform will provide distribution centres with collaborative demand planning and basic statistical forecasting solutions.
o9 president and COO Igor Rikalo said: “Our new business partnership with Zamp SA to revitalise and transform Burger King's supply chain planning processes highlights o9’s commitment to delivering exceptional client service in the Brazilian market.”
With a workforce of more than 16,000 employees, Zamp operates 1,000 restaurants spread across all Brazilian states.
The implementation of o9’s Digital Brain is expected to improve forecasting and inventory management for Burger King and Popeyes in the Brazilian market.
The Burger King brand was first established in the Brazilian market in 2004, with its first location at Ibirapuera Mall.
Zamp supply and logistics head Luciano Totola said: “Companies throughout the Brazilian market are seeking to develop greater business planning and supply chain planning capabilities across industries.
“o9’s Brazilian team has the combination of local capabilities, global expertise and experience to give us the confidence in transforming our processes. It’s an important step for our digital transformation.”
